The first thing you notice on the Samsung Omnia II of its styling. There is actually some, unlike some other recent releases. (Cough cough Droid) The send and end keys have a brushed texture and the menu button (this is not a directional pad) is surrounded by an overview of cool silver. Onyx color surrounding the body.

The back of the phone has this red carbon fiber look to it:
On the right you will find the USB charger port, the lock button and the camera button:
On the left side is a 3.5-mm headphone jack, along with volume and OK buttons:
Unlike the original Omnia, which had a full stylus that comes Omnia II with a telescopic stylus. He lives on the upper right corner of the phone, and extends, as it is pulled out.
Under the rear you will find the 3.7 V Li-Ion Battery 1500mAh to find and access the microSD slot on the left side.
There are no buttons or ports on the top or bottom of the phone.
Battery
The Omnia II has a very long talk time of 6 hours with 375 hours standby time – this is a large battery. Not only does this phone automatically dim after 15 seconds, it locks after 30 seconds by default is also a big plus for any pocket dialers out there. (Myself included) These defaults certainly contribute to the long stand-by time.

Boot Up
When the phone is switched on “Samsung Omnia II” appears on the screen, then “Windows Mobile”. The entire sequence takes less than a minute.

Screen
The large 3.7-inch WVGA AMOLED display looks fantastic. It is almost the same resolution as the Motorola Droid, although it does not have as many colors. An added bonus is that this technology makes the screen readable in the brightest of SO

The resistive touch surface can get take some time if you are already in use with a capacitive screen. A resistive type screen has a little bit, against the hard glass of a capacitive screen. The advantage is that you can use a stylus on a resistive screen (or fingernail, for that matter). However, I found the response of the screen to a little disappointing. The haptic feedback reminds me of the sound of a hard drive makes when seeking, and the screen flutters when scrolling through menus. Speaking of menus, Samsung gave them “bounce” a bit like an iPhone, Blackberry or Android, but somehow managed to feel that this somewhat bulky.
Software
I like that Samsung TouchWiz go 2.0 has interface with Windows Mobile 6.5. It offers some simplification and streamlining of certain functions, such as a multi-page home screen, messaging, images, and the Samsung store widget. The Task Switcher, you can easily see what is open and close, you just need. TouchWiz is a nice addition to the standard WM interface. However, if the HTC TouchFlo I think HTC has compared a slightly better job. As the name implies, Flos it a little better.

TouchWiz is also responsible for the 3D cube. This 6-sided multi-media interface for viewing various media applications for the user maintained. From the home screen is a link to “Cube” in the bottom right to “My Contacts”. Although this is a neat interface, I find it a bit redundant. The same links are already in the programs menu. I think the cube would have a better widget than was additionally. I can not find a way to simply disable the dice without disabling the TouchWiz interface.
The Windows Mobile market is included in the price, but the interface seems a little confused.
Other applications include standard Microsoft Office Mobile, Facebook, Weather Bug, YouTube, Games, Ferrari GT Evolution, Solitaire, Bubble Breaker and Dice.
Since it is a synchronizing Windows Mobile is easy Outlook. All of your contacts, emails, appointments and tasks without the hassle involved with some other smart phones available. Setting up an Exchange server for your e-mail is also easy to accomplish.
Select calls it, is also quite easy with a simple interface of the Omnia II With a sensor that is off the touch screen, while in the vicinity of your face. Calls on the phone are clearly and sharply, as expected, and you can use other functions on the phone during a call. There is also a practical interface to add notes during a call.
Keyboard & Software Swype
The on-screen keyboard is in a vertical and landscape. The vertical keyboard is a bit hard o use at first, but there is an additional feature on this phone that you will probably grow to love, too. Swype technology, by the same people we had the original T9, you can simply “type” with one finger. Watch the video below for a demonstration.

I really like to use Swype, but if you prefer, there are other options, like a character typist to write letters and gestures, and the standard keyboard withSamsung T9. Note that it was the space bar began to move in landscape mode only when using the left Swype.
Browser
Included is Opera 9.5. This is a great browser that works wonderfully. A simple double-click tap zooms, while the other zooms out again. Tabs are easily accessible pages must be made quickly, and browsing feels seamless.

You want the option to use Internet Explorer if you there. Maybe I’m missing something, but I could not go into the landscape. Do not use my opinion, IE mobile is usually as simple or as elegant as Opera. I wish there was an option to uninstall IE here, to free memory.
Camera
The camera is 5.0MP great enrichment for this phone. Recordings are clear and clean, and the colors are balanced without any adjustments. It takes pictures too fast! Included are many camera options such as a continuous rapid fire mode, the 6 images in sequence, a mosaic mode that allows you different shots for different parts of the image, a panorama mode that you make a 180-degree photo allows to take drives, an action mode, shooting moving objects easily, and a smile mode, which focuses on the faces.

When viewing images, you are given the opportunity to set the image as wallpaper, set it as a contact picture, edit the image, crop, including options, color balance, adjust the contract, Rotate / Flip, and set the image in black and white, negative, or sepia.
The camera can also shoot video in a 720×480 MPEG4 format. The videos it also takes quite good.
Overall, the camera is outstanding options are. The phone has a great camera package and you can say some, if was brought into the surface.

Other thoughts
I am a bit disturbed that Samsung put the lock button on the right side of the phone. Once you press the button, you will see the screen very briefly, then you are shown to unlock screen. To unlock the screen, simply touch the unlock icon. There is no gesture to do so. Moreover, since it is a resistive touch screen, something could potentially, the Unlock button. Given these shortcomings, I see a lot of pocket dialing and / or a premature dead battery.

I think I want that Samsung have a back button would be somewhere. The large button in the center functions as the Windows key. The Quit button always brings you back to the Home screen. Most of the time if you want to go back, you have the window open is to close with the X in the upper right means.
The 8 GB internal memory is great! This will be used only for media. I wish more than 186MB will be used for programs.
It’s seems that Verizon intensional delayed the release of the Omnia II Community The phone also known for several months and it’s like it was sitting on the deck waiting to bat. This is without a doubt, because they wanted the droid with a bang on the release and follow it with a steady stream of smart phones for the holiday season.
Conclusion
I think that’s Omnia II, a great improvement over the original Omnia. The addition of TouchWiz was a wise decision, and it works fine with WM 6.5. I feel a little more attention could go into the layout of the buttons and the way the menus are “feeling”, but overall Samsung has done a wonderful job on this phone. The camera, web browsing and easy integration with Exchange and Outlook to make it a great phone. Enterprise users will appreciate its features.

This phone is not for you if you want a hardware QWERTY keyboard. Not immediately dismiss Omnia II, because the on-screen keyboard though. Try the Swype function. If you are a fan of Windows Mobile, then this is your cell phone.
Be sure to take a look at the Blackberry and the Motorola Storm2 Droid, as they may be alternatives.
If you are a world in need Phone (GSM / CDMA), do not need a 5MP camera, no matter with WM 6.1, but still want a hardware keyboard can be found on the HTC Touch Pro2 (or) the Tilt other networks.
