Once you see the Samsung Omnia 2 I8000, you immediately notice something different about the phone. When Samsung launched the Instinct in 2008, it was an instant hit. The large screen, purely touch-screen features, and slim design made the phone cutting edge. The Omnia 2 takes these jaw dropping features much further.
Clear And Smooth Look
Upon seeing the Samsung Omnia 2 I8000, you immediately notice its clear and smooth look. So clear in fact that it’s just like having a sheet of tinted glass as a mobile phone. This is what makes this phone in a class and sophistication of its own.
Unique Features
Aside from being a mobile phone, there are a lot of innovations that have been put into the design of the Samsung Omnia 2 I8000. These features are what make the phone uniquely a cut above the rest.
Here are those unique features:
  • AMOLED Screen
An AMOLED (Active-matrix organic light-emitting diode) makes you enjoy clarity and vivid colors on your phone just like on an LCD HDTV. It is a thousand times faster, compared to the conventional TFT LCD display that other phones are equipped with. The AMOLED screen also allows you to clearly read content in websites and applications. Furthermore, it doesn’t matter if you are right under the sun. Enjoy viewing the contents of your phone without the glare.
  • Touch-screen Interface
The phone allows you to choose from either TouchWiz 2.0 or Windows Mobile UI. This means larger, readable, and more accessible icons, a much better 3D design, and user friendly navigation. Aside from these innovations, this allows you a faster and more responsive feel for the drag-and-drop functions. In other words, using the phone will be effortless and a breeze.
  • Powerful Multimedia
Never before will you ever see features jam packed into one phone. This includes a faster browser, Wi-Fi, a 5 megapixel camera, video recording in DVD quality, a cutting edge GPS, a staggering 48GB memory capacity, games in 3D, multiple codec for various video formats, and a music player for your listening delight. In addition, enjoy endless enjoyment with a battery life of well over 400 hours.
  • Business Features
The Samsung Omnia 2 I8000 is not just a phone; it’s a mobile office. Thanks to the Windows Mobile OS 6.5, you have easy access to Microsoft Windows Office applications, email, Internet Explorer, Adobe Reader, and much more. If you are constantly traveling on business, there is no need to worry. With the phones GPS, you’ll never get lost, and you’ll be on time every time.
Never will be phones be known as mediums for making calls and SMS. This phone redefines the concept and fundamentals behind mobile phones. With the Omnia 2, you can virtually do almost anything. Not only can you do almost anything, you do it with style.
Due to the advancements in phone technology, coupled with the power of Windows, looking through the Windows of the Samsung Omnia 2 I8000 takes a whole new meaning.

Help answer the question about amoled windows mobile

Samsung i900 Omnia or s8000 Jet?
I will be buying a new phone, and I am still confused between the two.
Is the windows mobile OS on omnia worth having (albeit the weird 240×400 resolution)or can I live with just java apps/games?
Are there really cool/fun games on java or they are practically the same with the games on Winmo in terms of graphics?
How is the handwriting recognition speed and touchscreen feedback? Can I write complete sentences or do I have to write every single letter?
Does having a 480×800 AMOLED screen on the jet really outshines the 240×400 TFT LCD of the omnia? does having a 240×400 look ugly with pretty obvious pixels on the screen in omnia?
What makes Jet or Omnia better than the other?
Sorry for the questions but both are really nice phones, I love everything about Samsung jet but having no OS is really a MAJOR drawback. I want customizability and a wide array of applications.
If only I could afford the Omnia II then I wont be having this hard dilemma. xD
